Baseline Laboratory Testing
Testing is selected based on your history and clinical needs and may assess hormones, thyroid function, metabolic and cardiovascular health, iron and nutritional status, inflammation, and other relevant markers.
Clinical Review
Your clinician reviews your intake, symptoms, history, medications, and results before your visit.
60-Minute Discovery Review
We connect the clinically meaningful findings to the concerns that brought you to care and answer your questions in plain language.
Midlife Health Roadmap™
You receive a concise summary of your key findings, top priorities, what we will continue to watch, and the care direction recommended next.
Important: Discovery Is the Assessment — Not the Treatment Phase
Discovery includes assessment, laboratory evaluation, interpretation, prioritization, and your care roadmap.
Medication initiation, prescribing, treatment implementation, and ongoing management begin only after enrollment in active care when clinically recommended.
New York clients: Laboratory testing is completed and purchased separately due to state-specific laboratory requirements. Your clinical Discovery fee is adjusted accordingly.

About Getting Started

No. Pause, Sis™ Discovery is a direct-pay service. The standard $697 Discovery includes baseline laboratory testing. New York clients follow a separate laboratory pathway and receive state-specific pricing during enrollment.

No. Discovery is the assessment and care-planning phase. Active treatment begins only after enrollment in the appropriate care program when recommended.

You will still receive your laboratory results and Midlife Health Roadmap™ summarizing the findings, priorities, and care direction discussed during your review.

Relevant previous results may be reviewed, but Discovery includes current baseline testing so recommendations are based on an up-to-date clinical picture.

Medicaid / Medi-Cal: Sistah Pause is a self-pay practice and is not enrolled with and is not a participating provider with state healthcare programs (including Medi-Cal and Medicaid). We are unable to treat Medicaid or Medi-Cal patients at this time, even as self-pay patients.
Medicare: Sistah Pause is not covered by Medicare or any Medicare-related insurance plan. We can accept Medicare beneficiaries as self-pay patients; however, beneficiaries may not submit any claims related to their visits, medications, or associated services to Medicare.
Insurance Coverage for Labs & Medications: Clients may use their insurance for labs and medications based on their individual plan. Sistah Pause is not liable for any costs that are not covered by your insurance plan.
